Nancie's Story...
My siblings and I were born in a barn in Chester County but were rescued when we were just about a week old. The young son of the family who owned the barn was very anxious to save us. Following the advice of a Stray Cat Blues volunteer, after he found us huddled in an old tire in the barn, he put us in a carrier and then set a trap for our mom right beside the carrier. Within one hour, mom was trapped. Once we were all rescued, Stray Cat Blues volunteered to foster us and we went to live with our foster parents while we continued to nurse on mom and grow into sweet, loving, healthy kittens.

You’ll have a hard time telling us apart because we all look alike, we're light gray tabbies. But we are typical kittens. We are active and playful and love to chase balls and play with mice. And we love to play with each other. We are very entertaining. But we are also sweet and affectionate. And besides all that, we're cute too. You can't go wrong taking any of us of home with you. Our estimated date of birth is June 10, 2014.

Nancie is spayed, litterbox trained, has received age-appropriate vaccinations, and tested negative for FeLV and FIV.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nancie, a Colmar Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Colmar, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Colmar.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Colmar already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Colmar breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Colmar paves the way for another one to be saved.
