My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I have been on quite a journey; that's how I got my name. I was found living outside behind a elementary school in Kentucky. No one knows how I got there. I was very frightened, and afraid of people, though some nice people did leave me food and water. Finally, after she came to visit and talk to me every day for a couple of weeks, I let a nice lady pick me up. She already had a LOT of rescue dogs at her house and couldn't keep me, so she brought me to Chihuahua Rescue.
I'm a smart girl and have learned to use a pet loo and potty pads inside as well as going outside. I eat in my crate and can go in there when you are away from home. I'm still sort of a puppy, so I like to CHEW on lots of things. I love to play with toys and to run a LOT outside. If you have 2 of the same thing, I'll play fetch, sort of. I'm know some basic Obedience commands; I know "heel," "sit," "sit & beg," and am getting the hang of "stay." Because of my rough time, I'm timid and shy in new siturations. I'll need you to go slow and give me lots of time to get to know you. But once I feel secure in a new place, I'm just about the perfect dog! At least my foster mom says I am. I got adopted once briefly, but the man scared me so much. He didn't do anything bad, he just reminded me of the bad man who hurt me before. So I had to come back to Chihuahua Rescue.
Journey weighs about 8 pounds and her adoption fee is $200. She would do best in an all-female household.
