Maverick's Story...
Maverick was abandoned at a rental property after his owners moved out. We have NO idea why that happened, since Maverick is such a sweet boy!

Maverick is a very energetic and social rabbit! Once he settles in, he is curious about everything to no limit. He does have the potential to become a free roam bunny in a rabbit-proof room since his litterbox habits are fantastic. It is very amusing to watch him play with his toys (he especially likes the toys that make noises; cat toys with no feathers/danglies and bird toys provide further alternatives to the standard toys). He also loves crawling through cardboard tubes, and jumping on cardboard boxes and ripping them up.

Mack is fantastic with being handled, and he can be very cuddly at times. He would be perfect for a family who can spend time with him, as he is social and playful. He is great with people of all ages, and is very patient when it comes to being picked up and put down. This adorable boy would be perfect for a family who don’t mind his playful antics and his curious personality. He is a very attention-orientated rabbit, so he definitely will not be one to be left in his cage for the whole day! It would be great if he could have a run-out pen attached to his cage, so he is able to come and go as he pleases.

He loves his daily veggies consisting of romaine, kale, parsley, cilantro, and a chunk of carrot. He is, of course, always a big mooch for fruit treats, and he will definitely get in your face if he smells a banana or an apple! We recommend Oxbow treats, but plain cheerios can be used as a treat also.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maverick, a Warren Mini Rex was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Mini Rex for sale in Warren, or seeking a Mini Rex from a breeder in Warren.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Warren already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Warren breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Mini Rex breeders who help with Mini Rex rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Warren paves the way for another one to be saved.
