Neptune is a handsome Dappled Dachshund that will steal your heart if you let him. This one year old, 11 pound boy, was found as a stray wondering the streets of a small town in TN. Innocent and scared, he was never claimed at the local shelter and few people visit that rural shelter to adopt dogs. Well we got Neptune out and now this sweet boy is proving himself to be a rare nugget of gold at his foster home! Neptune was timid and shy at first (who could blame him) but now he is coming out if his shell and is playful and happy. He has a beautiful dappled coat and a little bit of blue in one eye which is a recessed gene for the dappled Dachshund breed. He plays very well with the other dogs and loves his people. He follows them everywhere and enjoys lots of snuggles and kisses. He is crate trained and is doing well with house training.
