My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jake weighs approx. 63 lbs and appears to be a purebred black lab. Here is more info from his foster mom: He loves kids (per the prior home) and did well with my friends 2 year old, but is still a little young and clumsy (as Labs often are) and may knock them over. This might mean he would do best in a home with children who are old enough to handle his size. Not a mean bone in his body, he is just a big sweet boy.
Jake seems very trainable and you can tell he wants to please his people, I think he will bond quickly with anyone willing to give him some love.
He knows basic commands (sit, down, no!) and is potty trained. He learned the dog doors at our house in a matter of minutes, which I think is a good litmus test for intelligence (at least at my house). He needs some work on the leash as he gets excited and pulls. He is medium energy, not hyper - he doesn't need to be ran 15 miles a day like a Border Collie, but he definitely likes to play. He's not a couch potato but he isn't opposed to lounging around if everyone else is. He's really an all around sweet, happy go lucky boy, and he's ready for family to call his own.

Like all Mikey's Chance dogs, this dog will come to you from a foster home that has provided loving one-on-one attention, socialization and some basic training, as well as quality food and exercise.
