Here's what the humans have to say about me:
My name is Indiana and I've been waiting for a home for a long time so I decided to speak for myself. I'm a very sweet 6 year old Black Lab mix. People say I'm a smart girl and they're correct. Heck, I passed 12 weeks of training in obedience, basic commands, manners and house training with flying colors. I absolutely love people. So much so, when someone stops by to visit or take me for a walk I get very excited...but I do calm down nicely once I'm out for awhile. If you sat around in a cage as much as I have, you'd be excited to get out too. I'd be best as an only pet. I'm not very fond of living with other animals. Believe me, once I'm in your home, you'll want no others. Yeah, I'm that good. I love people of all ages but because I get excited at times, it would be best if kids in the family were 12 years of age or older. I'm not mean at all and would never purposely hurt anyone, but I can be a little overwhelming at times. I'm happy playing in a fenced in backyard and I'm very good walking on a leash...once I get over my initial excitement. I have impeccable manners in the house and can be trusted to have the run of the home. I know I'm not for everyone, but there's got to be someone out there who will love me the way I know I will love them. Please stop by for a visit. Give me some time and I will be on my best behavior. Thanks for listening and I'm looking forward to seeing you.
If you have older children and are interested in adopting Indiana, please bring them with you for a meet and greet.
