Rosie was found wandering alone in a very rural part of Grayson County, KY. Neighbors say she belonged to a man that had moved to the area from another state. He had only lived there a few months when he died. After he died, Rosie was turned out of the home and left to fend for herself. She ended up using the neighbors barns and roof lines and equipment for safe places to hide as dogs and feral cats kept trying to chase her off! She just wanted to be near people! Whatever it took she wanted to be close.
She even came down from the barn loft when there was a big gathering and a band was playing in the barn, just to visit with all the people there. Never mind the noise or the crowd, if people were there it was where she wanted to be.
A lady contacted Save Grayson Cats and said that Rosie couldn't stay with her because her dogs kept trying to hurt her and her own cats wouldn't let Rosie near. We are full but one foster home stepped up and said she could make a room for Rosie. We met her for the first time yesterday. This girl is tall and long....there is a Whole Lotta Rosie there! She is about 1 - 2 years old.
She lost weight when she was on her own and the nice lady that found her helped her gain some of that back and helped her recover from a wound on her leg but she couldn't give Rosie a home :-(
Can you share Rosie's story? We think there is a person out there that wants a cat who can rock with the band, hang out with her person and loves everyone who comes to visit. We just need to help Rosie find that person.
