My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Checkers is looking for a special family who will work with his megaesogphagus which is a condition that requires him to eat pureed food from a high chair. Dogs with this condition can live long and productive lives. Currently his condition requires that he be feed 4 small meals a day sitting in a highchair or an upright position. He needs to remain upright for about 20-30 minutes after each meal to ensure he will not throw up. He is still a lively pup that loves to play with his siblings and other dogs, however this is a condition he will have for life. He should reach around 40-50lbs when full grown.

Like all Mikey's Chance dogs, this dog will come to you from a foster home that has provided loving one-on-one attention, socialization and some basic training, as well as quality food and exercise.

Applications can found at our website mikeyschance.com. Please note that adopters are not chosen on a first come, first served basis, but full consideration is given to the best fit for the dog AND the adopter. Applications can 2-4 weeks to process, application submission does not guarantee approval for adoption.
