Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Peekaboo has not had an easy life so far. She was surrendered to animal control by her owners who stated she was afraid of their dog and always hiding. They also said she bit them going into the carrier. She was impounded as a biter which was pretty much a death sentence for her. When we were at the shelter, we found out that she was in the euthanasia room and begged to be able to take her with us. We were allowed to do so and found that she was not only terrified but very sick. She has since be treated for an upper respiratory infection and is healthy now. She continues to need help building her confidence and trust back. She enjoys human affection and would do best in a quiet home. She was adopted and returned to us because she did not like the overbearing cat in the home. We also learned she prefers women to men. She made progress socially and was getting braver, but problems with the other cat necessitated her return. She coexists with other cats now, but doesn't like "in your face" type cats. She is looking for an adopter who is willing to continue working on her sociability.
She is six years old, front paw declawed, spayed, and up to date on vaccines.
