Fergus's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Fergus's Story...
This adorable little guy was rescued from the Devore shelter along with his sister (?) Eloise.

He is Mr. Personality! Bouncy, playful, energetic and very, very adorable.

Fergus is crate trained, housebroken and is learning to walk on a leash. He is great with other dogs and would LOVE a home with another dog his size - he loves to play!

Fergus' idea of a great day is running up and down the hall, going outside, running around the yard chasing anything that moves and then coming inside and taking a long nap. Oh yea....he loves to eat so dinnertime is his favorite time of the day!

We would like Fergus to be placed with his sister Eloise. This is a rare occurrence in Dawg Squad - we normally do not place litter mates together. But these two need each other and would do best if placed in the same home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Fergus, a West Los Angeles Dachshund puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in West Los Angeles, or seeking a Dachshund puppy from a breeder in West Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in West Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a West Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in West Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
