My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Zoey is a peppy and loving gal of 9 years young. She is hairy hairless gal
who is a beautiful gray and she is super cute! She twirls when happy and will
be so happy to see you when you have been out that she will dance for you!
She is a highly intelligent girl who figured everything out in her foster home
within hours. She is curious and alert and really gets it when you tell her what
to do. She walks great on a leash and allows all handling. Zoey gets along
with all other dogs from the largest pit bull to the smallest chihuahua,
regardless of sex She is a girl who was clearly cared for at one time before
neglect took over, and she is hungry for a connection to her special human.
She wants to sleep next to you and is a great sleeper. She sleeps like a log
and wakes perky in the morning ready to go...er...eat! She loves her food,
though is not a huge eater. It seems that everything is a cause for
celebration. She loves the yard and is often standing on a boulder next to a
large dog surveying the kingdom happily. Amy has been settling in at her
foster home and she adores her foster mom, so she can be a little jealous.
But she also is independent enough to sleep most of the day in a bed on her
own. Lately when her foster mom goes out, Zoey will cry inside for a while,
so she would probably prefer not to be left alone for long periods of time.
Zoey has not been tested with kids or cats but it is thought that she would do
fine. Zoey has some skin issues that she is working through. This usually
clears up within a few months of a good diet. If you are looking for a devoted
little friend who will just adore you, Zoey is the girl for you!
(Zoey is being fostered in New England)
