Edgar's Story...
Edgar is a 5 year old male Beagle/Shepherd mix that came to us from Tennessee. At 45 lbs he is a bit bigger than a standard Beagle, but he is really just an over-sized lap dog who loves to cuddle. He walks well on a leash and gets along well with other dogs, cats, and children. He is a mild mannered gentleman who would be a great family dog. Please consider opening your home to this wonderful dog!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Edgar, a Freeport Beagle/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Freeport, or seeking a Beagle/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Freeport.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Freeport already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Freeport breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Beagle/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Freeport paves the way for another one to be saved.
