Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sacha is quite the looker. He is all Doberman, sporting perfect conformation with his black and tan markings and his tall cropped ears. Sacha is a traditional Russian boy’s name meaning “defender of man,” and he fully lives up to that. Sacha is very mannerly in his behavior – he is the quiet cool. He loves his affection, but he doesn’t beg for it. He is very loyal but not over vigilant. He and Elvira have become great friends and love their playtime together. He is learning how awesome toys and treats are (sometimes he gets so excited over a treat he does not even know what to do with it). Some of his movements have a Dane-like goofiness to them, and his whole face lights up when he is happy. It really is a joy just to watch Sacha be Sacha.
Sacha was rescued along with four other Dobermans that were confined to a life of puppy mill breeding stock. Three of them (Brodie, Fiona, and Sacha) were scheduled to be euthanized rather than paying for their stage one heartworm treatment. Home FurEver stepped up and financed their medical treatment, including spay/neuter to ensure they will never be bred again. They are being fostered together, and are learning what freedom is all about. They are looking for experienced adopters to begin the next chapter in their lives.
