My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please read entire bio on --- Elsa and Leo, litter mates who need to stay together as they really do well as a set. Born the end of March these two little ones, yes teeny tiny, only about 3 1/2 to 4 lbs, have had a rough start. Each have one front leg that has been somehow pulled or torn from the socket causing it to stop growing and become permanently luxsated. This may have been from too rough of play, it may have been from someone doing something awful to them, but the fact that both have the same type of injury on the same leg seems a bit suspicious to us and to our vet. BUT, dogs do with what they have and they both have learned to use these deformed legs and can jump, run, play and be pretty darn normal. Just no long walks or jogging but with a 4 pounder that seems a bit unreasonable anyway. Elsa and Leo are very friendly, they get along with other small dogs and even cats. We are looking for an adult home, no large dogs, someone who will love them for who they are and not for the attention they might get. Our vet felt that amputation was not necessary at this time since they are so small and are using their legs somewhat. If in the future this becomes necessary we need a home that can deal with that decision too. If you would like to know more and meet Elsa and Leo please fill out our application to adopt found on our web site www.RescueAChihuahua.com and send it in. Their foster family will contact you.
