Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Update 9/25/2015: Woody has reached his one year mark in the program and is more than ready for his forever home. Woody has made so much progress since coming into this program--just this afternoon, he let multiple strangers pet him at an event and kept a hat on. :) His adjustment period has grown shorter, but he still loves to cling onto one person and be their loyal and stoic companion.
Woody joined Pixie's Pen Pals in September of 2014 after being dropped off at the shelter in a wooden box that was nailed shut. His handlers have worked on earning his trust and building his confidence. They have been rewarded with a spunky pal who is full of life and has tons of character. Once he gets comfortable, Woody has the personality of a big ham and the curiosity of a puppy. He is sure to make you laugh and smile.
While receiving training at the correctional center, Woody has learned lots of cool tricks, such as waving hello, giving high fives, and nodding "what's up" to all of his human buddies. Woody is at his finest, though, when he is with other dogs. Big or small, male or female, Woody loves them all! He will work his puppy magic to get even the grumpiest of gusses to play with him. Let him hang out with a small group of dogs and he's sure to be the life of the party. All Woody needs is to be given a chance and he's certain to bring some brightness to your life!
Woody is receiving obedience training at a Lunenburg Correctional Center. To learn more about the Pen Pals program, please visit our website at www.fetchacure.com.
