Hi there, I'm Harvey (aka The Man!) I am a 4 year old, Shihtzu mix, and about 10 pounds.
I am a pretty snazzy dude if I say so myself! I was found as a stray wandering around Detroit over a month ago. My finder looked and looked for an owner and posted ads all over the place but sadly no one came forward. Finally, my finder decided to place me with a rescue so that I could find a furever loving home.
I am a laid-back, happy-go-lucky fella that likes to go with the flow. I get along great with dogs, cats, men and woman as well as children. I am a gentle and relatively quiet guy though every now and then I will bark. I love, love, LOVE to go for walks. And trying to chase squirrels is my absolute favorite! But I am a very well-mannered guy overall and would do great in most kinds of family situations. I can be a little bit shy at first but after a few minutes and I know I am safe, I am Mr. Confident!
I am potty trained and will be caught up on my vetting this week and available for adoption as early as 9/7/2014.
My adoption fee is $250.00 and includes DHPP vaccine, bordatella vaccine, De-worming, spay/neuter surgery, rabies vaccine, heartworm test, heartworm preventative, flea/tick preventative, microchip insertion, bath, nail trim, ear cleaning, leash and collar and one week's worth of food.

You can fill out a simple online adoption application at www.nbsar.org and we will start processing your application right away! We do require that persons interested in meeting me apply online and be approved as an adopter first so please visit our website and submit your application today!
Our adoption process requires that any pet in your household be current on it's vaccinations and heartworm preventative as well as spayed/neutered unless there is a documented medical reason on file with your veterinarian. Dogs must be current on DHLPP, Rabies, and Heartworm Preventative, cats must be current on Distemper, Rabies, and Heartworm Preventative at the time of application.
