My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What a scary world it is out there when you're homeless and in a high-kill shelter...especially when you just weigh 16 lbs and are only about 9 - 12 months old. Sedona, an adorable Schnauzer mix (we've debated what Sedona is mixed with because she looks very much like a Schnauzer. We finally decided she's a Schnauzer/Poodle mix...or Schnoodle). We wish we had additional photos that did this very beautiful girl justice. We've asked and are waiting for post-grooming photos. If Sedona doesn't get groomed in Texas, Farfel's will be happy to cover the cost of a bath and new hairdo at our groomer here in Denver..
Sedona found herself in this awful situation through no fault of her own. Her plight was the result of irresponsibility and neglect...such a sad statement for the poor care that was bestowed on this harmless dog. Finally... Sedona was the luckiest girl around that day...she was discovered and rescued by Farfel's rescuers who felt compassion for this sweet pup. She was a matted mess on the outside.. but pure and grateful devotion on the inside! As you can see in Sedona's photo...her tail is wagging with joy even at the dismal shelter. Sedona's rescuer brought her home and dedicated herself to caring for her...and reassuring her abandoned psyche that she was safe. This pup deserves a ticket to Colorado and a committed, loving family. She would so love walks down mountain trails...she loves being outside and is capable of being a loyal companion for hikes. Sedona is definitely searching for a human friend that she can devote her heart to....and that person will be the recipient of 100% of what this little dog has to offer. After initial bonding, Sedona's a steadfast companion that takes her relationships seriously. We're searching for either an adult home for Sedona...a retired couple or individual who enjoy spending lots of time with a fuzzy pup would be great! Or a family with older kids (8+) who can participate in the fun and companionship of a canine best friend would also be wonderful. Sedona also gets along with other dogs and would enjoy the relationship of sweet and gentle canines. She will blossom with the attention and caring touch of a dedicated family. In this environment, Sedona will glow with joy at her incredible luck. She loves to please...and when she's successful, she struts her stuff with high self-esteem.
Sedona is a non-shedding pup and will therefore require periodic grooming and great nutrition to keep her silky coat healthy and matt-free.
Sedona will arrive on transport in Boulder on 9/27. If interested in this awesome and kind best friend, please fill out an application at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/ and submit to farfelsapps@gmail.com.
