for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Jula's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Jula's Story...
Jula is a 2 year old fully vetted German Shepherd who was adopted from a local shelter by someone who did not exercise or work with her. She was kept in a crate in the garage and when she started acting out due to a lack of exercise and stimulation she was surrendered to animal control. She has passed temperament testing and is a great dog. She sits on command and takes her treats very gently. Jula needs an active owner. She is a bit overweight and could really use a jogging or walking buddy to help her shed a few pounds. Dog adoption is 130.00 and includes spay/neuter, heartworm testing, age appropriate vaccines including a 3 year rabies, health exam, deworming, and microchipping. Any animal 6 months or older is considered an adult. No animals are vetted until they are adopted as we do not have a vet on staff. Once the animal is adopted we make a vet appointment, and they must go to be vetted before they can go home with an adopter. Call 985.651.7387 for more information regarding adoption.

Act quickly to adopt Jula. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jula, a Laplace German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Laplace, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Laplace.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Laplace already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Laplace breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Laplace paves the way for another one to be saved.
