Facts about Jethro

  • Breed: Foxhound
  • Color: Black - With Tan, Yellow Or Fawn
  • Age: Senior
  • Size: Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
  • Sex: Male
  • ID#: 7629423
Jethro showed up on our property on July 5th and was not able to defecate. We took him to the vet and they diagnosed him with anal hernias possibly caused by not being neutered. We neutered him and repaired the hernias and he is good as n ew! We even cleaned his teeth. Jethro refuses to bay at adoptions but when he sees an intruder, it is a beautiful sound! Jethro loves to snuggle and is around 10 but in great shape for an old man!

About Releashed Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Releashed Rescue is a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing working dogs from high-kill shelters, rehabilitating those that need training and rehoming them into permanent loving homes.

Releashed Rescue will provide food, shelter, basic necessities, medical treatment including shots and spay or neuter, and work to train any animal going through our program. Our goal is to find the right family to love and care for the animals for their lifetime.

Releashed Rescue has a vision of a world where animals are not killed because they are inconvenient. Instead, we hope to educate the public about pet over-population, spay , neuter, humane treatment of animals and how animals can enrich the lives of people including the elderly, children and those with disabilities.

Our Adoption Process...

The way the adoption works is you complete an application, which we review. If you have had previous pets (like a cat or other dogs) we do a vet check to ensure they are up to date on shots etc. Then the last step is a home visit to basically ensure there are no obvious dangers for the dog in the home. The fee is $300.
