Scrappy's Story...
Age: 8 years
Gender: Male
Color: Black & White
Weight: 50 lbs
Variety: Bench
Hi! My name is Scrappy. Do you feel the need to scratch doggie ears or brush a beautiful coat? I have both! Do you get that lonely feeling when you are driving in the country or walking on a beautiful fall day? Take me! Do you get cold toes at night? I'll keep them warm for you! Do you want a loving companion, but not a high maintenance one that requires a lot of your time? Pick me!

I am mellow, and I just want a friend. I think I'm at the perfect age, because I am trained and well behaved. I'm a good listener, and I only want to please. I do fine with kids, but sometimes I am picky with other four-legged creatures. Can you blame me? It's just because I love to get and give all the attention.

My hobbies include observing through the window, sleeping, and chewing rawhides. My favorite part of the day is sitting on the porch with my foster mom and just watching. I could sit there forever. Recently, I had the chance to camp out in the backyard and sleep in a tent! I had a great time. Nothing really fazes me. I do like to howl at the train and other whistles, but that doesn't bother my foster family.

I am a healthy boy. My joints can ache a bit at times, but everybody has some aches and pains now and then. I came from a loving family, and I am looking to find another loving family. Do you need a Velcro buddy? Please pick me!

Eagerly,
Scrappy

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Scrappy, a Minneapolis English Springer Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a English Springer Spaniel for sale in Minneapolis, or seeking a English Springer Spaniel dog from a breeder in Minneapolis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Minneapolis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Minneapolis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even English Springer Spaniel breeders who help with English Springer Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Minneapolis paves the way for another one to be saved.
