Hal's Story...
Hal came to ADOPT in September of 2014 when his owners could no longer care for him. He is a beautiful boy. As with many Shepherds, Pal can be a bit aloof and takes time to connect with people. He knows some of his basic commands, such as sit, down and paw. Past experience with Shepherds will be required of Hal's new family. He was born in 2012 and weighs almost 100 lbs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hal, a Naperville Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Naperville, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Naperville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Naperville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Naperville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Naperville paves the way for another one to be saved.
