My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I am Stewie and I am just too good to not be someone's certain special companion. I am looking for a permanent home where I can live forever. After being in foster care for 4 years, I was diagnosed in 2012 with Megaesophagous (ME) and Myasthenia Gravis (MG) Lucky for me, I only had the symptoms of ME for a couple of days and I have been in REMISSION since 2013! I can eat dry food just fine but my foster mom isn't taking any chances and still feeds me Honest Kitchen dehydrated food and elevates my food and water bowls just to be safe. I hope that this doesn't deter anyone from looking at me. I do not tear my toys up but like to carry them around to show them off. I get along wonderfully with other dogs but am really just as happy to hang out with my family! I am completely housebroken and crate trained. I am only 42 lbs and full grown. I do have a keen interest in whatever is going on with squirrels or any other animal that might be outside my backyard. Before this diagnosis of ME and MG, if left alone without supervision, I would jump really high in the air to try and see if I could get to where the birds or especially squirrels are. In the past, I have managed to make it over the 6 ft fence. The fence was reinforced with something on top which has deterred me since. Of course, I know I am not supposed to do it. As I have aged, I still try to get the squirrels but I can't make it up to the top of the fence now. I really just want to give someone all of my love and to get their attention and especially belly rubs! My foster mom says that I deserve a wonderful, permanent family who will take care of me forever! If you are looking for a dog with it all, look no further than me! I hope to see you soon!
