I am Stewie and I am just too good to not be someone's certain special companion. I am looking for a permanent home where I can live forever. After being in foster care for 4 years, I was diagnosed with Megaesophagous (ME) and Myasthenia Gravis (MG) Lucky for me, I only had the symptoms of ME for a couple of days and I have been in REMISSION for the past 2 years. I can eat dry food just fine but my foster mom isn't taking any chances and still elevates my food and water bowls just to be safe. I hope that this doesn't deter anyone from looking at me. I do not tear my toys up but like to carry them around to show them off. I get along wonderfully with other dogs but am really just as happy to hang out with my family! I am completely housebroken and crate trained. I am only 42 lbs and full grown. I do have a keen interest in whatever is going on with squirrels or any other animal that might be outside my backyard. Before this diagnosis of ME and MG, if left alone without supervision, I would jump really high in the air to try and see if I could get to where the birds or especially squirrels are. In the past, I have managed to make it over the 6 ft fence. The fence was reinforced with something on top which has deterred me since. Of course, I know I am not supposed to do it. As I have aged, I still try to get the squirrels but I can't make it up to the top of the fence now. I really just want to give someone all of my love and to get their attention and especially belly rubs! My foster mom says that I deserve a wonderful, permanent family who will take care of me forever! If you are looking for a dog with it all, look no further than me! I hope to see you soon!

Our Adoption Process...

If you would like to adopt one of our available dogs, please contact us at to request an application. We will check vet records, conduct a phone interview, arrange a neutral site meet and greet with your family and the dog. Before permanent placement in your household, we require a home visit and a 5 day sleepover as an opportunity to see how the dog interacts with your household and to ensure we are making a good match. No adoption will be final until after receiving an approved & signed application, check of vet records, interview, neutral site meet and greet, home visit, 5-day sleepover and adoption fee.

Adopting family agrees to keep this dog as an inside only pet and companion. The dog is not to be a guard dog, fighting dog, or used for experiment or for research purposes. Adopting family guarantees that they shall provide their new family member with proper diet, veterinary care, kept current on vaccinations, on monthly heartworm preventative, and as needed, flea treatment.

The adoption fee is $180 for dogs over 25 lbs, $220 for dogs 10 - 25lbs(estimated adult weight) and $300 for toy breed dogs under 10 lbs (estimated adult weight) however, please read the individual bio of the dog you are interested in as there are some exceptions to those fees. Adoption fees include the microchip registration fee. All of our dogs are thoroughly checked out by a veterinarian. On their initial exam, they receive, as determined appropriate by the vet, a rabies shot, DA2PPL shot/s, heartworm test, and deworming. All of our animals are fully vaccinated, spayed/neutered and microchipped prior to adoption. If the dog tests positive for heartworms, they are treated. While awaiting adoption, all of our dogs are fostered in homes where they are provided monthly heartworm prevention, flea control, and any necessary medications prescribed by our vet.
