Olive's Story...
Olive is a beautiful girl of Black with speckles of white. She is 1 year and a half of pure energy and vigor. If you can get her to slow up long enough, she does know how to sit, down, stay and come. It was reported she is good with other dogs, and cats, and does well with children, but her energy level will require a home with children over 10. Her previous owner says she is house trained, crate trained, and leash trained however she is very strong and will need an owner who can handle her.

If you want to apply for Olive click here. You can then email the application to the Meridian Valley Humane Society. Applications are now being accepted, and a visitation with the dog is encouraged. All applications will be considered and the adoption coordinator will call the person chosen to adopt the dog after the available date.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Olive, a Meridian American Bulldog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Bulldog for sale in Meridian, or seeking a American Bulldog dog from a breeder in Meridian.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Meridian already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Meridian breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Bulldog breeders who help with American Bulldog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Meridian paves the way for another one to be saved.
