My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This dog is being fostered in Dallas, Texas and must be adopted within the Dallas, North Central Texas or Oklahoma City area.

NAME: Carina
GENDER: Female (Spayed)
AGE: About 8 Months
WEIGHT: About 4.4 Pounds
COAT: Long Haired, Beautiful Reddish Brown Color
DOGS/CATS: Great with other small dogs, Unsure on cats
CHILDREN: Prefer an all adult home due to size

Introducing precious Carina. Carina is a blessed little girl. This little girl somehow got lost from her home and ended up in the middle of a major DFW freeway. She was literally frozen with fear as cars passed over her. A salute to Carina's hero - Alex at Duck Team 6. Alex spotted her when driving by. He circled around, and saved her from the middle of the freeway. Alex then called CRT and asked if we could keep her safe. Carina had no tags and no microchip, and our attempts at finding her family came up empty. So Carina is now looking for a new forever home that will keep her safe forever!

Carina has a wonderful personality. She is about 8 months old. She gets along great with the other Chihuahuas in her foster home and enjoys playing with them. She likes to go outside and feel the breeze run through her long coat. Because of her tiny size, you will want to be out in the yard with her to protect her (there are cases of larger birds such as hawks snatching tiny dogs less than 5 pounds and flying off with them). She isn't sure about playing with toys yet, but we did see her peeking in the toy box this week! For now, she enjoys hanging with her foster 4 legged siblings.

Carina adores her humans. She loves to cuddle and to be held. So if you are looking for a little love bug to watch TV with at night - Carina wants to volunteer for the job! Carina is a petite 4.4 pounds as we believe she is fully grown. Due to her small size, we recommend an all adult home for Carina.

Carina is very smart. She has fit in well at her foster home. She is almost completely potty trained and she also has learned to use pee pee pads. Carina is also crate trained, and gives you no problem when it is bed time! She is also a quiet little girl. Although she loves to play, she rarely barks.

Carina is such a beautiful little dog. Her long hair and her beautiful eyes take your breath away. We know that she is going to be so loved in someone's home (and we are betting she will get adopted soon!). If you are looking for a perfect little girl to add to your family - Carina is a great choice.

Carina is spayed, micro chipped, up-to-date on shots, HW negative and on heartworm prevention. She is ready to join a loving family - could that family be yours?
