Sweet Clara was found as a street kitten. She is extremely shy and will need a very patient and compassionate owner to give her the time she needs to trust her new human. She and her siblings, Carly and Cooper (also in our care) were born with congenital eye conditions known as Eyelid Agenesis (the improper development of the eyelids) and Entropion (the curling of the eyelids inward). These conditions often cause mild to severe irritation to the eyes due to dryness, and from the eyelashes and other debris coming into frequent contact with the eyeball. Clara had surgery as a kitten to alleviate the problem and has thus far not experinced any futher complications. However, regular veterinary check-ups will be necessary in order to monitor the condition.
