Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Belinda is wonderful 8-10 year old senior who came into shelter a little bedraggled after a wet few days. She's a super girl, so calm and gentle, who prances when she walks. That shows pride despite being so dirty. We took her to a groomer who had to give her 4 baths before she was really clean. The sad news is, Belinda is Heartworm Positive Stage 3 - serious but treatable. LASSI will provide the treatment and Belinda will be in foster care while she recovers. We know she has so much more to give to anyone who is willing to adopt a senior dog. Her darling personality and sweet face makes her hard to resist. Don't try, Belinda is worth a million bucks. She gets along well with other dogs and cats. If you are interested in Belinda, even before she completes her treatment, she is available immediately for adoption from Oceana County Animal Control. Their phone number is 231-861-5395. Or you can call her foster family at 231-923-6563. Her adoption fee is $95. Due to the Heartworm, she cannot be spayed until she recovers. If she is adopted before that time, she will receive certificates that will pay for her spay in full. **Ask about transportation assistance if you are not from the local area.**
