Hi Friends!
My name is Meatball and I am 4 years young. I was surrendered to IEBR by my former family because they knew I deserved more time and attention than they were able to give me anymore. I am so thankful they did, too, because I have been soaking up every bit of attention from my foster family ever since I came to them!
You see, I am a VERY social boy and can't get enough time with my people. I am such an attention hog that I don't really like sharing my family with other dogs very much! I've lived with two females and one male since being in foster care, and the only one I haven't bullied is the extremely passive female. She and I got along great, but I got a little grumpy with the other two - a passive male and the other energetic and more assertive female. It would be best if I found a family with no other dogs or possibly just a really passive and agreeable female like the foster sister I like.
I absolutely adore humans of any shape and size. Kids are my favorite! I follow my foster family around and can't seem to stay close enough to them. I just love my humans SO much! I also like cats. We get along just fine. It's not like I'm vicious or anything, and I do just great with other dogs outside my home. I just think I deserve all the attention in my own house and don't like to share all that much, that's all!
As far as health issues go, I'm pretty healthy! I do need my giant nose rope cleaned regularly and I do have some allergies. Right now the vet is trying to figure out the best combination of Prednisone and Apoquel for me. I will probably need special meds like these for allergies for the rest of my life. I've had my tail amputated while in foster care (feels so much better now!) and I was also neutered and had entropion surgery prior to my rescue.
I'm a pretty typical bullie and just the sweetest guy ever! I am super happy and easy going and I just love to go anywhere and everywhere I can. I've also been described as rather stubborn, but hey, I'm a bulldog! Comes with the territory, people! I always want to be with my people. I even do great with crowds. I'm very mellow and well behaved.
