My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bowser is a sweet dog. He is a cocker spaniel, poodle mix with something else thrown in for fun! I wish dogs would tell us their genetic history! Secretly I think he is part Kangaroo! That is correct, KANGAROO! He has springs in his hind legs and can jump pretty high up! His fur is so soft, there may be some Maltese in him. Who knows!!! Bowser is a dog that would do best in a home environment with a yard and a big wall or fenced in area (remember the Kangaroo part). He loves to play outside and would be so excited to go to the park with you. He would get antsy stuck in an apartment all day.

He loves kids, he would love to have an older children who would be his best friend. Bowser told me that he can have tons of adventures with a child of his own!!!! He is real good at telling me about stuff! LOL! He would definitely make the perfect family dog. He would fit right in. But he would be fine with that one special person too. He likes to get cuddles and is very sweet. Every time I see him, he has kisses for me! He wants to start his day off with a good cuddle and hug and then off to dog business exploring and sniffing everything out!

Bowser is such a gentlemen riding in the car. He will just sit in his seat and look out the window. He walks pretty good on the leash also. He only wishes the nice people at the rescue would give him more walks so he can explore the world. Bowser is around 2-3 years old, so he has plenty of living to do with the right family!

If you want to meet any of the New Life K-9 Rescue Dogs, we really need you to fill out an application FIRST. Click here to go to our application Complete each of the questions carefully, it really helps us understand you and your dog interests. We will not let anyone meet any of our dogs until we have reviewed your application. We saved these dogs so we are really invested in making sure their future families are just as committed as we are!!! We try to respond within 24 hours. (We’re all volunteers and work full-time so we get back to you).
After we review your application and contact you, first we do a meet and greet with all members of your family including your dogs in a neutral place like a local park. If all goes well, we will do a home check and finalize the adoption.
We only place dogs in the Southern California area, if you are located elsewhere, please check your local shelters or other rescues that are in your area.
We charge an adoption fee of $275 for adult dog which is tax deductible. All our dogs are spayed/neutered and up to date on their vaccinations prior to adoption.
