Luna's Story...
Luna has a very strange story. When she showed up at the kill shelter, we were told she had an owner, and this was her third trip to the shelter! Fully expecting the owner to come get her, the focus was on rescuing other cats, until one day she was on her last day and the owner still had not shown up. Thinking maybe they just could not afford the cost of springing a three timer, we saved her, fully expecting to get her back to her family. Imagine our surprise when we found out her microchip belonged to a dog rescue! Doing quite a bit of detective work, we ultimately discovered she had TWO microchips and the other was registered to a person in Hawaii. It became clear Luna had nowhere to return home. Lovely Luna has to be one of the most affectionate cats around. She adores everyone. She was fostered by one of our most treasured foster moms - in a setting with lots of interaction with school aged children. She also comes to work! Luna was initially shy around other cats, but is becoming more and more comfortable around them. Luna is fully vetted, free from FeLV/FIV, and microchipped. She would be a dream pet for a family with children who want a good cuddler or for a couple or single who want a great companion. Come meet her, you will not regret it.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Luna, a Riverside Domestic Mediumhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Riverside, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair cat from a breeder in Riverside.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Riverside already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Riverside breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Riverside paves the way for another one to be saved.
