I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Bubba's Story...
Meet silly Bubba! He always wants to be where the action is. Bubba is a 4 year old purebred Basset Hound. He was surrendered because his owner was elderly and could not handle him any longer. His owner moved from a large yard where he could run, into a house where he had to be walked and he pulled the owner down a few times. Bubba is a lover. He cuddled in owner's lap at nighttime and slept in the bed. He likes rawhides and squeaky toys. Bubba lived with cats and did well. He's fine with other dogs too. Because he likes to jump and is strong, children over 6 years of age are recommended if considering adopting Bubba. He is house trained and loves rides in the car too. Bubba will capture your fancy with his endearing personality.

If you have kids and/or another dog in your family and are interested in adopting a Friendship dog please bring them with you for a meet and greet. No appointment is necessary. Stop by anytime during regular business hours.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bubba, a Elyria Basset Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound for sale in Elyria, or seeking a Basset Hound dog from a breeder in Elyria.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elyria already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elyria breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound breeders who help with Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elyria paves the way for another one to be saved.
