Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Penske is one sweet fellow. He loves to be with his people, but he also gets along great with his furry siblings. He and Bowie (our grey) get along famously - they have even gone into the same crate at the same time! Yes, that was quite a sight. He tolerates the little dogs (2 min-pin mixes), sometimes giving the dog equivalent of an eye roll when they are performing their antics
.
He does lack some confidence, but is coming along nicely. In his first two weeks here, he went from what looked like a state of confusion to having mastered our concrete steps from the garage into the house, the wood & tile floors and coming in and out of the house (concrete). Not sure why he still seems not to like walking the hard floors, but he is quite able and is getting it.
He is also quite the gentleman - he stops and waits for me to go to the door and let him in/out. He waits patiently at feeding time and will eat more slowly if his food is put on the floor of his crate. He crates great, but is loose while we are home, even at night. We have also taken a few outings to some of the local "hangouts" - PetSmart, Best Buy, Home Depot and Lowe's - and he gets better at walking the hard floors each time. Everyone comments on how beautiful, well-behaved, soft and just generally nice he is.
