Dayna's Story...
Such a sweet face! Dayna is one of a litter of 8 who were going to be put to sleep in an overfull Dothan, AL shelter. The shelter found we'd take them and drove them all the way to us in Marietta.

We're not sure what breed the parents were but we're guessing they're lab/Australian Shepherd mixes and, judging from their current size and age, we guess they'll grow into medium-size dogs.

We guesstimate Dayna was born July 25th.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dayna, a Marietta Australian Shepherd/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd/Labrador Retriever for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Australian Shepherd/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Australian Shepherd/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
