Abby (2)'s Story...
Hi my name is Abby, My sister Bella came in to the nice people at CDR a few weeks ago and I arrived last weekend. We had to leave our previous home because the baby of the house was very very allergic to animals.

I am going to be three years old in December. I am a beautiful, quiet PBT/Border Collie mix. Crate trained, house trained, good with children and good with other dogs. I am timid around men and it takes me a while to warm up to them. Guess you could call me a sensitive type of girl.
I am currently staying in a foster home, where I am getting lots of love and attention. My foster home is very patient with me while I adjust to new surroundings and they take me to doggy daycare everyday where I get to play and meet new friends.

My foster mom and dad, said I am going to make someone a really great family dog.. I know my commands, I like to sleep in my crate even when the door is open, I would rather get some loving from people than play with toys. I am quite and polite and I am eager to please my people. My previous home said I don't have a mean bone in my body...

I have one very special feature..... I LIKE TO SMILE... you got it SMILE !!!! Come meet me at adoptions and maybe I will smile for you then.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Abby (2), a Schaumburg Border Collie/Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Schaumburg, or seeking a Border Collie/Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Schaumburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Schaumburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Schaumburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Border Collie/Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Schaumburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
