My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet RUBY! Ruby is about 3 years old and adjusting to her foster home. She’s a little confused right now, but with the support of her foster family we know she’ll be fine soon. She is fully house trained, does not need to be crated, and knows many commands. She eagerly greets her foster parents when they come home and likes to be around them. Stay tuned as we learn more about Ruby in the coming days.

FOSTER UPDATE 10/29/14: Ruby is doing great. She was a very sweet girl at her temp foster this past weekend. She likes to have a companion, therefore likes dogs. It takes her awhile to get used to a stranger dog on a leash, but she eventually warms up and is fine. Ruby would do best with a companion because she gets a little unsure at times. She is a very easy girl, one of our best fosters. She likes to be active with Luther, but then settles down quite nicely. Perfectly house trained and doesn’t need a crate. If left alone without a friend she likes to pull blankets and pillows off the bed or couch, but she doesn’t destroy them. Her personality is slowly coming through.

UPDATE FROM THE FOSTER FAMILY: Ruby is doing wonderful. She is playful but then settles down nicely. She loves her foster dad. We were surprised her previous owners said she wasn't a cuddler because she likes to lay or sit right next to us. I can also hug on her freely. Maybe she doesn't like being overly cuddled, not sure. She listens well. She does get into the trash but her previous owners warned us about it. However, all she does is go into Andy's trash bin in his office, pulls paper out, and then leaves it. Then Luther brings the trash to Andy, and then they both get treats. They could be playing us. She mostly leaves the cat alone; however, in typical cat fashion, KC (the cat) taunts her. Ruby can't decide if she is afraid of KC or if she wants to play with her. The only thing we have really noticed is she is afraid of is the vacuum, but all she does is go in the other room.

She is a wonderful dog!
