Jessie is a large and very handsome black and white male pittie/lab mix who was pulled at the last minute from a high kill shelter in Southern CA. He likes to show his gratitude by giving lots of kisses and inviting his admirers to rub his tummy!

Jessie is reserved and quiet and our guess is that he didn't have much of a life before coming to us. Perhaps he was a backyard dog with very little human interaction. He needs an experienced foster or adopter who will enjoy introducing him gradually to the wider world – including other dogs, the joys of play and long walks where he can sniff and explore to his hearts content. It will be very rewarding to watch him come fully alive and grow into the awesome, loving dog he has the potential to be.

He is very food oriented, being part lab, and that will help with his training!
Jessie needs a home with NO cats and is best suited with kids over 12 years old because of his size.
