Morgan's Story...
Morgan is a beautiful, red female. She is very friendly, and affectionate. Although she just came off the track on Sept. 13, 2014 she is already discovering how wonderful it is to be a house dog! She has gotten along well with the four other greyhounds and one whippet in her foster home. Although dogs are fine, people are the most important and she follows her foster mom all over the house. Who knows when she might get another dog cookie? Morgan is learning the joys of sleeping on a real dog bed. She’s a good eater and walks beautifully on a leash. She also liked it when her foster folks’ grandkids visited. She hasn’t been cat tested yet, but will be within the next week. She’s just learning what stairs are for the first time and thinks they’re pretty scary but she’s so eager to please her people, she’ll figure them out in no time!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Morgan, a Tampa Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Greyhound for sale in Tampa, or seeking a Greyhound dog from a breeder in Tampa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tampa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tampa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Greyhound breeders who help with Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tampa paves the way for another one to be saved.
