TOBY's Story...
Toby and his brother, Sydney, were rescued as feral kittens early in 2001. We estimate their date of birth to be April 2001. Toby is such a good kitty. Easy going, playful, and bouncy. He's turning into a cuddle kitty. He sleeps under his foster mom's arm at night snuggling and purring. Toby loves attention and loves to be with his person. He's mild mannered and gentle and good with new people. He's a drop and roll kitty who will throw himself at your feet so you'll have to stop and pet him. He'll need a buddy and he likes his brother Sydney. He likes cats, people, and probably dogs too. He needs a quiet household with calm kids 12 years and up. He's a bit of an escape artist. About Our Rescue Group...
ICRA is an all volunteer non-profit organization dedicated to reducing the suffering of the abandoned cat population of Alameda and Oakland, and to educate people to their plight. We provide foster homes for our rescues until we can place them into loving homes through our adoption program. On a limited basis, we humanely trap feral cats in order to spay/neuter them before releasing them back to their colonies. Our goal is to expand our program for maintaining cat colonies in our communities. To make this expansion possible, we need more volunteers.

Our Adoption Process...
Potential adopters pick out a cat or kitten and fill out an application.
There will be a short interview with one of our volunteers. Adoptions do not happen the same day. We will arrange a time to visit your home and the foster parents and a volunteer will meet there. Our adoption fee structure is:

- Cats and kittens (six months to 8 years): $100
- Cats (over 8 years): $75
- Two cats: Full amount for the higher amount cat, half amount for the lower amount cat
For example: a kitten and an adult would be: $100 + $50 = $150
Prior to Adoption all cats and kittens are:
- Spayed or neutered
- FeLV and FIV tested
- FVRCP vaccinated
- De-wormed, and
- Treated for fleas with Advantage or Frontline
