My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bella's story began when she and her brothers were placed on the doorstep of Rover Dog Groomers formerly "Dogtown Dog Groomers" the first week of 2014. Upon hearing from an associate that there were puppies available for adoption I took a chance and went to visit with the puppies. By the time I had arrived there were two male puppies and one female left. The moment I saw "Xena" (Her name prior to renaming her Bella), I fell in love. She was precious and filled with unconditional love. We had a connection instantly and I knew she was right for me. After preparing my home for her arrival I brought Bella home. The first couple of days were rough and after taking Bella to her vet (Dr. Rizzitano at the West LA VCA Animal Hospital), it turned out she had worms and with medication she was cured. At the time of adoption, it was estimated that Bella's birthday was somewhere around Mid-September, 2013. That being said, last week Bella celebrated her first birthday.
Bella is a sweat heart. She is believed to be a mix of German Shepard and Rhodesian Ridgeback but with her long tail, I insist she has part kangaroo in her somewhere. From the moment I saw her I knew how much love she had to give. Bella is a gentle loving dog who enjoys cuddling, chewing on deer antlers, and bones. Bella is a well socialized dog who enjoys the dog park, hikes and playing with other dogs in public or private settings. She is friendly with children of all ages and has never shown aggression towards another dog. She is licensed, fully vaccinated to date, has current dog health insurance, and has a Santa Monica Airport Dog Park Permit which expires in February 2015. She has never had any serious medical conditions and is on a regular flea and tic treatment which is applied on the first of each month. She is currently enrolled as a member at The Wags Club Dog Daycare. Their staff love her and have never had a negative thing to say about her or her interactions with other dogs beside that, "she is very playful." That being said, Bella is a medium sized dog (Approximately 50 pounds) and needs space.
With my career growing I have begun to find it hard to give Bella the time, space, and attention she deserves. The optimal adoption situation for Bella would be to find her a family with children, potentially another dog, and a large yard. Bella has never been difficult to handle or control and that being said she deserves a great family. Whoever is lucky enough to find her first is getting a very special dog and friend.
