Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi, my name is Shellie and I am a Black Lab mix and I am 1½ -2 years old. I weigh a lean 50lbs but I could gain a few pounds … what girl could say that! I am a very sweet and lovable girl. My original family had to give me up for some reason that no one knows. They brought to a kill shelter where I was found by the Angels of IAR and now I am in a fun, loving Foster home. In my Foster home I get to play ball with my 2-legged brother and boy oh boy do I love to play ball. I am learning the routines of this home. I am housetrained, do not bark much and love to be around people. I love being around people and I am so good I get so sleep next to my big Foster brother … on the floor of course, on my special bed. I like to play around other dogs but have not had a chance to play with cats. Who knows if I like to play with them too? I have a really pretty, shiny black coat with a small patch of white on my chest and if you look really closely I have brown highlights on my fur. Some woman pay big bucks for this. Me, it comes naturally – hee hee! I know some commands – SIT, SHAKE, DROP AND COME and I walk pretty well on my leash. I know another important thing …. I really would love to have a family to call my own. So how about you call my Foster Family for a play date. Please bring a ball and we can play. You can see how pretty I am, fall in love with me and we can go home together. Sound good? I’ll be waiting for that call, xoxo Shellie.
