Leo's Story...
Meet Leo: He's loyal, loving & full of life! He is a 5 year old brindle shepherd mix male. Leo's a little gray in the face, but don't let that fool you! He's a playful boy whose favorite game is fetch! This sweet boy aims to please & nothing makes him happier than the love of his person. We don't know about Leo's past since he was found as a stray next to the Westheimer Airport in Norman. We DO know that he's a healthy, happy, well-mannered gentleman who is potty trained and even knows "come" and "sit". For more information on Leo, contact Emily at emilyatfan@gmail.com or fill out an adoption application at www.pitessentialsrescue.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Leo, a Norman American Pit Bull Terrier/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Norman, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Norman.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Norman already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Norman breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Norman paves the way for another one to be saved.
