Shayne is a male Maltese mix puppy only 5 months old. He has a wavy, snowy white coat that is soft and non-shedding. Shayne is a little guy, currently weighing only 7 pounds. His adult weight is estimated to be 10-12 pounds full grown. Shayne is an absolutely darling puppy, gorgeous, with a black button nose and a face that always appears to be smiling. He is as sweet as they come and wiggles his whole body with joy when he sees you. Shayne has personality galore and no one can resist him. He is an adorable mixture of clever, curious puppy and gentle, tender-hearted cuddle bug. Shayne loves attention and will "talk" to you if you speak to him in a high baby voice. Its so funny and endearing. He appears to be very intelligent and picks up on the ways of the household with ease. Shayne is puppy pad/paper trained and well on his way to learning good potty habits. Shayne likes a gentle touch and will play quietly with toys or a fun chewie if nothing else is going on. He will follow you merrily around the house and is always interested in what you might be up to. Shayne likes treats and takes them nicely from your hand. He is great with other dogs, but his main focus and delight seems to be with people. This is actually quite amazing since we rescued Shayne after he sustained a pelvic fracture from what the vets believe to be a vicious kick. Unfortunately, since Shayne was brought in to a very high-volume/high-kill shelter as a "stray" we do not know the full story. What we do know is that Shayne is a unbelievably forgiving animal with a great capacity for love and kindness in his sweet, warm heart. He is going to make a truly outstanding, delightful pet and an unforgettable example of the pure nature of a dog's ability to love. His pelvis is healed and he is going to be just fine. Shayne is a true rescue and deserves a full and rewarding life with loving owners who appreciate him. He is ready for his new forever home today!
Shane’s adoption donation is $450 (*TAX DEDUCTABLE). He will be NEUTERED and he has been MICROCHIPPED, VACCINATED, DEWORMED, DEFLEAED and PROFESSIONALLY GROOMED. Also included is his collar with ID, harness, leash, folder with all of his records, a great PETCO coupon book, and a fun goodie bag with toys, etc.
Shane is being fostered by Pet Match Rescue Foster Volunteers, Phyllis and Richard and is ready for his forever home.
