Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Rocky was saved by some kind volunteers from the Pakuashipi reservation in Northern Quebec prior to the scheduled dog culling. He was very lucky to make it out before the cull of strays began.
Rocky can be a little shy guy at first and still needs work on the house training but otherwise he is a happy go lucky friendly with all type of guy!
He travels well in the car – even the plane as he had to take two different flights to get here to us from Northern Quebec and all the volunteers said he was just a joy to have around.
In foster care he lives with other dogs and is gentle and kind. He definitely needs someone to spend time training him to make him into a good canine citizen. He does not enjoy the crate too much but he will tolerate it and if you are kind enough to leave a blanket or bed in his crate with him you will come home to it shredded to pieces and Rocky will give you a great big smile and be quite proud of himself just wagging his tail away!!!
Rocky has been with both cats and children, he is friendly with them both – all around he is a friendly good soul dog looking for the right home
He does have medium to high energy so a home with an active family and a fenced in back yard would be the perfect dream paradise family for Rocky. Leave him a lone to get bored and he will chew your slippers!
Rocky loves to be with people and loves to please those people so if you have time to invest in training him Rocky will become an awesome best friend as all the qualities are there and already visible in him
