Ginger's Story...
Hi there! My name is Ginger! I’m a little over 1 year old and am looking for a loving family and home to call my very own. I came into the shelter as a stray and my owners unfortunately never came for me, but I don’t let that get me down! I know there is a wonderful family out there waiting for me that will give me the life that I deserve.

I really love to be around people. I just love belly and back rubs, and cuddling and kissing is my favorite! I’m a smart girl who will make the right family happy for a very long time. I would prefer a home without any small animals, but I’m learning to make friends with dogs my size at the shelter. I’m a volunteer favorite and everyone is rooting for me to find my happily ever after, so please come down and meet me! I’ll be waiting for you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ginger, a Oak Park Rhodesian Ridgeback/Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rhodesian Ridgeback/Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Oak Park, or seeking a Rhodesian Ridgeback/Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Oak Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oak Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oak Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rhodesian Ridgeback/Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Rhodesian Ridgeback/Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oak Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
