My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dogs Name: Cooper
Breed: Lab Mix
Age: 9 Months
Weight: 50lbs
Male
Energy Level: Med- High Energy
Good with Dogs: Absolutely!
Good with Cats: Curious
Good with Kids: Absolutely!

Cooper was horribly thin when he was pulled from the shelter. He weighed 27 lbs. Today he weighs 47 lbs. and is a bundle of fun loving energy. Anyway, the foster has quickly grown to love this boy and he has blossomed in her care. He will do well in almost any family situation as long as he can romp and play. He is a good boy. If you want to adopt this sweet loving pup please email Debbie at ddrdebbieb@gmail.com

Unless otherwise indicated, all Double Dog Rescue dogs have received the following before being available for adoption:

Thorough veterinary examination

All routine annual vaccinations, including Rabies, DHLPP, Bordatella (kkennel cough), Heartworm Test, Fecal Test, Deworming

Spay/Neuter

All dogs are quarantined for two weeks outside of the shelter (puppies four weeks) to ensure they don't break with disease.

If any dog shows any signs of disease or ailment, DDR vets the dog until he or she has a clean bill of health to the best of our knowledge. This includes anything from being treated for Heartworm, Broken Leg, Cherry Eye, Torn ACL, Upper Respiratory etc.)

NOTE: Dogs who were treated for Heartworm can test positive up to 4-6 months after last treatment. All dogs are immediately put on Heartguard/Ivermectin following the treatment to kill the Heartworm larvae. All dogs should be re-tested after 4 months from the last Heartworm treatment.
