My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dogs Name: Vicki
Breed: Lab Mix
Age: 1.5 Years Old
Weight: 50lbs
Energy: Med
Good with Dogs: Absolutely!
Cats: Curious
Kids: Absolutely!

Vicki is one of those rare dogs who will fit in almost any type of family setting. She loves her indoor time and also playing right in the middle of the big boys in the dirt, grass, mud, or anything else that might be going on at the moment. She is up for anything. She is a very smart girl and learns quickly. She is well behaved and minds her manners. There is nothing bad to say about this one. She is a jewel. Vicky loves to play and knows some commands. Vicki will need to go to a family with a fenced in yard. If you would like to this gem, please email Susan at sassynpeaceful@gmail.com for an application.

Unless otherwise indicated, all Double Dog Rescue dogs have received the following before being available for adoption:

Thorough veterinary examination

All routine annual vaccinations, including Rabies, DHLPP, Bordatella (kkennel cough), Heartworm Test, Fecal Test, Deworming

Spay/Neuter

All dogs are quarantined for two weeks outside of the shelter (puppies four weeks) to ensure they don't break with disease.

If any dog shows any signs of disease or ailment, DDR vets the dog until he or she has a clean bill of health to the best of our knowledge. This includes anything from being treated for Heartworm, Broken Leg, Cherry Eye, Torn ACL, Upper Respiratory etc.)

NOTE: Dogs who were treated for Heartworm can test positive up to 4-6 months after last treatment. All dogs are immediately put on Heartguard/Ivermectin following the treatment to kill the Heartworm larvae. All dogs should be re-tested after 4 months from the last Heartworm treatment.
