My story

Please note: we only adopt our rescues in Southern California. Tucker’s forever home should have a very securely fenced yard, an active owner, no kids under 6 and no big dogs. He should not be in a home where he is left alone most of the day.

Tucker is a little love bug. A Papillon-Longhaired Chihuahua mix, he is just over a year old, is a shorty at 8” at the shoulder and weighs 8 pounds. He is just a puppy and doesn’t have all his coat in yet (he will be a long-haired dog). For a puppy, he is very gentle. He loves to cuddle. Of course, he also loves to play and to romp around the yard (always with supervision). He is a very curious and alert little boy and that is why we emphasize the security of the yard. He has managed to figure a way to get out of our yard (by climbing, right in front of our eyes). He will need a basic training class to establish his new owner as leader of the pack so that he will come when he is called every time and learn to walk well on a leash. He should be easy to train, as he is eager to please.

Tucker is good with other dogs but would be probably be happy as an only dog. We don’t know how he is with cats. He is especially loveable and would make a wonderful companion for an active person or family. He needs lots of attention and activity.
