Myra's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Myra's Story...
Myra is approx. 2 years old and 30 lbs. She is a delightful little girl - good with other dogs and seems to ignore cats. She appears to be housebroken and crate trained. She will move to foster care on 10/7 so stay tuned for updates. She is now spayed and fully vaccinated. Adoption fee 150.00. UPDATE 10/10: Myra is doing well in foster care. She is a little spit fire but learning all about obedience and house manners. She is good with the cat and dog in the house. She is crate trained and housebroken. FOSTER MOM REPORT: Myra is a smart, active girl that responds very well to calm and consistent handling. She sometimes needs guidance in achieving a calm state. Myra is dog and people social, and she has a slightly higher energy level. Her ideal home would provide solid structure and opportunities for both mental and physical stimulation on a daily basis with enough guidance and structure to assist her in returning to, or maintaining, a clam state when it is appropriate. She is house-trained and started on basic obedience training.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Myra, a Avon Border Collie/Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Australian Shepherd for sale in Avon, or seeking a Border Collie/Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Avon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Avon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Avon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Border Collie/Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Avon paves the way for another one to be saved.
