My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bob and Mittens are brother and sister who were born on 03/22/14. The are beautiful tabbies with "apple heads" and amazing personalities. Unfortunately, how they came to Chance at Life is sad. Bob and Mittens were given to a 12 year old boy to help console him after he lost his dog in a house fire. Even though the intentions were good, no thought was put into who would take care of them. Vanessa from Chance at Life and the employees of Pet Valu in Dumont took the boy under their wing and helped supply him with food, litter, toys and other supplies he needed for the kittens, as well as guidance. At the end of June the boy called to say he was moving to PA to live with his grandfather. Vanessa knew the kittens were not spayed/neutered yet and was worried it would not be done once he moved. An appointment was made and they were taken care of including their Rabies and Distemper vaccinations. Over the summer Vanessa kept in touch with the boy to make sure the kittens were doing ok.

On Sept 24th Vanessa received a call from the boy saying he was moving back to NJ in the morning to live with his Grandmother and was not allowed to keep the kittens. Vanessa agreed to take them in. Again, Pet Valu stepped in and let the kittens be brought to the store until Vanessa could pick them up as the Grandmother would not even let them in her apartment for a few hours. Bob and Mittens were dropped off with nothing. The Grandfather said the car was too full for any of their belongings. They drove for 3 hours with them in the car loose.

We would really like to keep Bob and Mittens together as they have been through a lot together and love each other very much.

Please contact Vanessa @ 201-982-2219 if interested.
