Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already spayed, a special needs pet, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.
SASSY's STORY: Callie came to us full-term pregnant and sick, she was set to be killed at a shelter in Council Bluffs. She delivered 4 kittens within a few days. When they were a couple weeks old, the kittens became very ill with the respiratory infection that Callie had. Two of the kittens sadly died, and Sassy was gravely ill. She was hospitalized for weeks but overcame the illness to our amazement. She blossomed into a happy & healthy kitten, underwent spay surgery, and has remained that way up until 2 weeks following her surgery in December. Sassy began having difficulty breathing & was very lethargic. She was rushed to the emergency clinic & they found her to be in congestive heart failure. She stabilized through the night and was transferred to our regular vet the next morning. Her lungs were clear and she was doing well. He placed her on oral medication and she has continued to do wonderfully. We believe she likely has a congenital heart defect that caused the heart failure. She will need to remain on medication to keep her heart functioning efficiently & to prevent fluid build-up. She is back to being a curious kitten and loves to play & cuddle. She is such a beautiful girl & deserves to know the love of her own family, something she has not had in her young life.
Adoption fee for Sassy is $100. For adoption policies and to submit an online adoption application please go to our website at this link: http://dollyslegacyanimalrescue.org/adopt/
